THE SUS BARN
For fashion junkies sustainability often becomes a major consideration, as it should. Inspired by the famous Schitt's Creek Blouse Barn, the Sus(tainable) Barn takes a different approach than most sustainable brands however-- we won’t provide you with clothing made out of plants, or recycled plastic water bottles (even though that stuff is dope)-- we instead introduce you to second-hand clothing AND a brand new mindset. The mindset: fashion is not accumulating clothes you might wear someday, it is owning a few pieces that can be reworn often or reworked to hold a purpose in every fashion lover’s wardrobe.
Real sustainability is reducing numbers. Our mission is to reuse and repurpose clothing in order to reduce everyone’s ecological footprint in the amount of new shit that we buy. We are meant to love every piece in our closets. Start here, by buying clothes that no longer serve my style and fashion journey, but could very well elevate yours.
Leena is an Egyptian-American upcoming fashion blogger from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She will also soon be a student at Washington University in St. Louis. Leena is always laughing, with Tik tok being her go-to source of humor. She loves Youtube, which inspires her to be an influence for others. Youtube is where her passion first began, for helping others look bomb and feel confident in their wardrobe.
Leena is always looking for fresh ways to turn her old things into new things to keep up with her growing style, whether it is through revamping pieces to create different silhouettes to match rising fashion trends she particularly likes, or styling one piece with multiple fits, producing unexpectedly sick fits made from just a few pieces. At the end of the day Leena is simply a Midwest girl trying to find the most FIRE fits for herself, others, and Mother Earth.
